About OAR Exam Prep

Every page is written to the public subtest outline for the ASTB-E and to current guidance from NAMI and the U.S. Navy. The three OAR subtests we cover are the Math Skills Test, the Mechanical Comprehension Test, and the Reading Comprehension Test — and we keep those names exact.

Our practice items are independent questions we write to match the style and difficulty of each subtest. They are not real, retired, or leaked ASTB-E items, and they are not the administered battery — they are for rehearsing the mechanics.

The stance is elimination-first: read the answers before the question, knock four options down to two, and find the differentiator that makes one survivor wrong — on a timed test, a disciplined rule-out beats a blind guess. Start on the free practice test, or work the study guide subtest by subtest.

We would rather leave a number out than publish one that could be wrong on your test day. So you will not find an invented “passing” OAR score, a pass rate, a fee, a dated test window, or a “guaranteed pass” claim here. Those are set by NAMI and by your branch, community, and program, and they change — confirm them with an official source and your recruiter.
